Scan2CD is a software product sold as
an add-on module to Alchemy Gold or Professional,
the #1 CD-Recordable file archival and retrieval
software. Scan2CD enables documents to be scanned right
into the Alchemy Contents window, automatically indexed
with OCR for fast retrieval, then copied directly to a
recordable CD-ROM. Over 200 scanner models are supported.
Each CD you make contains Alchemy's award-winning Search
program—you'll find any document on the CD in a few
seconds! If you would like to use CDs for image storage
on a LAN, this is the very best way.

Supports fast mid-range
scanners and video boards from Bell & Howell, Canon,
Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Kofax, Panasonic, Ricoh,
TDC, VisionShape and Xionics.
Indexes are easily created
by four methods:
- Enter keywords in
each image's document or folder profile card.
- Use the integrated
OCR zoning to automatically enter data from forms
into fields.
- Drag and drop text
from an image into a profile field.
- Use OCR to create a
full-text index.
To write the image
database to CD-R, simply click on the Gold disc tool.
More images can be added to the CD at any time. Supports
CD Recorders from Hewlett-Packard, JVC, Philips, Pioneer,
Pinnacle Micro, Plasmon Data, Smart and Friendly, Sony,
Turtle Beach, Yamaha and more!
The CD can be stored in a
jukebox or tower on a Netware or NT LAN, or sent to
another PC. Concurrent users can quickly retrieve and
view images from their PC. Retrieval is done using a
variety of methods: OCR full-text search, query by
profile fields, filename and extensions, and table of
contents.
