Scan2CD enables documents to be scanned right into the Alchemy Contents window, automatically indexed with OCR for fast retrieval, then copied directly to a recordable CD-ROM. Supports fast mid-range scanners and video boards from Bell & Howell, Canon, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Kofax, Panasonic, Ricoh, TDC, VisionShape and Xionics.

Indexes are easily created by four methods:

  1. Enter keywords in each image's document or folder profile card.
  2. Use the integrated OCR zoning to automatically enter data from forms into fields.
  3. Drag and drop text from an image into a profile field.
  4. Use OCR to create a full-text index.

To write the image database to CD-R, simply click on the Gold disc tool. More images can be added to the CD at any time. Supports CD Recorders from Hewlett-Packard, JVC, Philips, Pioneer, Pinnacle Micro, Plasmon Data, Smart and Friendly, Sony, Turtle Beach, Yamaha and more!

The CD can be stored in a jukebox or tower on a Netware or NT LAN, or sent to another PC. Concurrent users can quickly retrieve and view images from their PC. Retrieval is done using a variety of methods: OCR full-text search, query by profile fields, filename and extensions, and table of contents.
